Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome Square-jawed super detective Dick Tracy faces his greatest challenge in this
absorbing, action-packed film. When Tracy (Ralph Byrd in a definitive
performance) investigates a series of strange bank robberies, he uncovers a
shockingly nefarious underworld scheme. Arch criminal Gruesome (horror legend
Boris Karloff) and his lawless gang (including such colorful villains as X-Ray,
Dr. A. Tomic, and the wicked chanteuse Melody Fisk) have discovered a sinister
vapor with a chilling side effect -- it causes its victims to become paralyzed.
Utilizing this horrible gas, Gruesome and his cronies hold the entire city at
bay, and it’s up to fearless Dick Tracy to bring the fearsome felons to justice.

Nancy Drew -- Reporter When intrepid schoolgirl Nancy Drew (played with audacious zeal by Bonita
Granville) participates in a local newspaper contest, she finds herself involved
in a terrific mystery. Reporting on the fatal poisoning of a young woman and the
subsequent arrest of a suspect, Nancy stumbles upon clues that lead her to
believe the accused is innocent of the terrible crime. With the aid of her young
neighbor Ted (the comically dogged Frankie Thomas) Nancy sets out to find the
real killer and solve the case. Runtime 67 minutes.
